About the ARC The ARC has TEMPORARY Hours for the Summer 2008 (scroll to the bottom of this page) The ARC, (Academic Resource Center), located on the first floor of the Library, provides several different types of academic assistance, including academic advising for freshmen, writing and math tutoring, study skills, New Student Orientation Information and Placement Testing, and career information. There is also a small computer lab. (Although located in the ARC, the freshmen academic advising center, new student programs, and the career center function independently.) The services provided by the ARC are free, and usually do not require an appointment. Services Offered by The ARC Freshmen Academic Advising - Check out the Freshman Advising web site: http://web3.txwes.edu/advising/index.htm Writing Assistance - Wesleyan professors, and Student Writing Interns, volunteer their time and expertise in the ARC to assist students in all types of writing assignments. A PhD tutor – WOW! On-line writing assistance is also available - see "Writing Assistance." (To the left) Math Tutoring - Several well-qualified Wesleyan math students are available to assist with most types of math-related problems.
