DALLAS, Texas - Tommy Johnson was named the RRAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the dates of Dec. 26-Jan. 1.

     Johnson, a senior forward from Oklahoma City, averaged 26 points per game as the Rams won both of its contests. In a 101-97 win over Morningside College (Iowa), he posted 24 points and six boards, and he poured in 28 points while grabbing nine rebounds in a 93-85 defeat of Missouri Valley College. Johnson made 14-of-29 shots from the field (48.3%) including 11-of-20 from three-point range. Texas Wesleyan is also 4-1 in conference play and 8-5 on the season.

     The Rams will be back in action Saturday when they travel to take on conference-rival Paul Quinn. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. in Dallas.
