FORT WORTH, TX: Texas Wesleyan University’s head men’s basketball coach Terry Waldrop announced today the signing of Clint Chasteen, a 6’6” guard/forward out of Jacksonville College.
Chasteen played for Texas Wesleyan alumnus and then assistant coach Greg Young at Texas State in 2004-05 before following Coach Young to Jacksonville last season.
A 36% long-range shooter, Chasteen played for his father Brad Chasteen at Coppell High School, one of the top 5A programs in Texas.
“Clint will fit really well into our program,” said Coach Waldrop. “He has a great background in basketball with his dad being one of the premier coaches in Texas. He brings a world of experience and, like quite a few of the guys we have signed, can play several positions. We are proud to have him.”
After winning the 2006 NAIA Division I National Championship, Texas Wesleyan posted a 19-10 record and was ranked 33rd nationally at the end of the 2006-07 season.
