RAMS SIGN FINLEY

FORT WORTH, TX:  Texas Wesleyan University head men’s basketball coach Terry Waldrop announced today the signing of DaLane Finley, a 6’4” forward from Fort Worth.

Finley comes to Texas Wesleyan via the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma where he played one season under head coach Brisco McPherson.  Last season Finley ranked third on the Drover’s squad with 11.5 points per game.  He ranked second on the team in rebounds (6.7), shooting percentage (.478), and minutes (33.5/g).

He scored a career-high 19 points in USAO’s season opener at Langston University.  Last year he reached double-figures in scoring 19 times in 25 games played, and notched four double-doubles.

Prior to USAO Finley played two seasons at North Lake College in Irving , TX.

Waldrop was pleased to add a proven player to his roster.  “DaLane has proven himself at this level.  He put up very solid numbers in the Sooner Conference last season, and we look forward to him being a big part of our basketball team.”

After winning the 2006 NAIA Division I National Championship, Texas Wesleyan posted a 19-10 record and was ranked 33rd nationally at the end of the 2006-07 season.
