FORT WORTH, TX: Texas Wesleyan University head volleyball coach Christy Clawson announced today the signing of Jenee and Camille Burrhus-Clay out of Lockhart, TX.
The sisters were named Co-Offensive Players of the Year at Lockhart High School last season. Jenee, a 5’9” middle blocker, was a three time Academic All-District selection for coach Melinda Kirst at LHS. She was also a two-time All-District performer.
Camille, a 5-9 right side, was also a three-time Academic All-District selection and was named All-District in three seasons. Camille was also named LHP Offensive Player of the Year in her junior season.
The Lady Rams volleyball team had an excellent 2007 season in their second year under Clawson’s guidance. Texas Wesleyan posted a 32-16 overall record and a perfect 10-0 mark in RRAC play. They reached the RRAC final for the fifth time in six years and also advanced to the Region VI championship game.
