ROMIG NAMED RRAC LIBERO OF THE WEEK |
FORT WORTH, TX: Texas Wesleyan University’s Katlynn Romig has been named Red River Athletic Conference Volleyball Libero of the Week for the period of August 25-31.
Romig, a freshman defender from Mansfield, TX, compiled 80 digs (16 digs per match) for the Lady Rams in the first action of her collegiate career. She accounted for 29 as Texas Wesleyan lost to Southern Nazarene University (OK) and 16 in a victory over St. Gregory’s University (OK). For the week, she committed just one receiving error in 79 total attempts (.987). Romig also pounded nine service aces as the Lady Rams started the season at 1-4.
The Lady Rams will return to the court in this weekend’s Texas Woman’s University Tournament. Texas Wesleyan will play Pittsburg State University at 10:00 a.m. and Cameron University at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 5. |
