MILLICAN NAMED RRAC SETTER OF THE WEEK

FORT WORTH, TX:  Texas Wesleyan University’s Emily Millican has been named Red River Athletic Conference Volleyball Setter of the Week for the period of September 1-7.

Millican, a freshman setter from Red Oak, TX, registered 112 assists in four matches for Texas Wesleyan including 45 against Texas Woman’s University.  She also collected 22 assists with 14 digs against Southeastern Oklahoma State University, one of two double-double efforts on the week.  Millican averaged 7.47 assists per game with a total of 35 digs.  The Lady Rams slipped to 1-8 overall.

Kelani Keoho of Southwestern Assemblies of God University (TX) nabbed the Player of the Week award, and Stephanie Castro of Huston-Tillotson University (TX) earned the Libero of the Week honor.

Texas Wesleyan returns to the court next weekend when they travel to Hastings, NE, for the Hastings College Tournament.  They will begin action on Friday against Doane College at 2:00 p.m. followed by a match with Hastings at 8:00 p.m.
