RAMS SWEPT ON TOUGH ROAD TRIP |
Box Score vs. Lubbock Christian Box Score vs. Wayland Baptist FORT WORTH, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University volleyball team (2-17) dropped a pair of tough road matches on Saturday. The Rams suffered 3-0 defeats at Lubbock Christian University (17-1) and at Wayland Baptist University (11-3).
Lubbock Christian topped the Rams with scores of 25-19, 25-21, and 25-13.
Brittney Person led the Rams with seven kills. Emily Millican had 15 assists to go with 14 digs. Katlynn Romig posted 19 digs.
Wayland Baptist won the night cap with scores of 25-21, 25-16, and 25-13.
Person finished a team-high eight kills. Millican notched another double-double with 23 assists and 14 digs. Romig turned in 14 digs of her own.
“We just haven’t been playing on all cylinder,” commented head coach Christy Clawson. “Our mental focus is hit and miss, and we’re having trouble putting the ball away.”
The Lady Rams will return to the refurbished Sid Richardson Center on Tuesday, September 30. They will host Tarleton State University at 5:00 p.m. and open the Red River Athletic Conference scheduled with Paul Quinn College at 7:00 p.m. |
