SAN ANTONIO, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University men’s golf team sits in second place at St. Mary’s University’s Rattler Invitational after posting the lowest score of the tournament (287) in round two.
After a first round score of 298 put the Rams in seventh place, the Rams fired off a 287 led by Kevin Doskocil’s 4-under par 68.
The University of Texas Junior Varsity team shot 292, 290-582 to lead the Rams by three shots. Newman University’s Nick May leads all individuals at 3-under par 141.
Doskocil is just one shot off the lead at 142. Drew Koonce shot 74, 73-147 and is tied for 15th. Armando Villarreal and Johnathon Dickerson are tied for 29th at 150. Paco Saracho is tied for 46th at 154.
The Rams will play final round action at Pecan Valley Golf Course on Tuesday.
