Box Score vs. Paul Quinn

FORT WORTH, TX:  The Texas Wesleyan University volleyball team (3-18) moved to 1-0 in Red River Athletic Conference play with a 3-0 win over Paul Quinn College (1-9, 0-2).  The win came after Tarleton State Univeristy (12-6) took a 3-0 win over the Lady Rams.

Against Tarleton State, the TexAnns won with scores of 25-19, 26-24, 25-16.

Rachel Daniel and Destiny Clemons both notched a match-high 10 kills.  Emily Millican finished with 27 assists and 15 digs.  Katlynn Romig posted 13 digs while Chelsy Covington added 10 digs of her own.

In the win over Paul Quinn, the Lady Rams stormed out to a 1-0 lead by taking game one 25-7.  Texas Wesleyan then cruised to 25-13 wins in games two and three.

Clemmons posted a match-high 10 kills.  Millican had 21 assists while Evoni Darling posted 15 assists.  Romig finished with 12 digs.

The Lady Rams will return to the Sid Richardson Center on Wednesday when they host Texas Woman’s University.  That match is scheduled for a 6:00 p.m. start.
