Three Alumni Named to Business Press' "Forty Under Forty"

Forty under Forty logoThree Texas Wesleyan alumni have been named to the Fort Worth Business Press' annual Forty Under Forty list. Ben King, BBA '94, MBA '99, is general manager and vice president for Metro Golf Cars. He joined the company, started by his dad, in 1998. He has since started another division of Metro Golf Cars called King Brothers UTV Ranch of Fort Worth, which sells power sports utility type products. King last year launched a trade publication - Inside UTV - as publisher and owner. "My motivation is less about money and more about wanting to do a good job," King told the Business Press. "That self satisfaction is what motivates me at the end of the day."

Jennifer Henderson, BA '96, is president and creative director for JODesign. She launched her agency in 1999, and it has evolved into a full-fledge advertising firm, handling collateral design, ad campaigns, marketing and public relations for several local and international clients. Henderson makes internships a priority in her business, she told the Business Press. "I see a certain spirit in that age group. They want to know anything and everything, and for me to have been in that same position when I was [in] college, I think I owe a lot of my success to the people I learned from."

Caroline Gary, BS '93, is a clinical social worker at Federal Medical Center Carswell, part of the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Gary helps develop, organize and manage the various support services associated with the psychosocial needs for female inmates. "My work as a social worker in a prison setting can be very difficult and challenging, yet it is often rewarding to know that your work has the potential to impact the individual, their families, and, ultimately, the community to which they will return," she told the Business Press.
