Michael Anne Greer Joins Career Services
Michael Anne Greer has joined Career Services as a college and career counselor. Greer received her bachelor's degree in psychology in 2003 and her master's degree in psychology in May 2008, both from Texas Wesleyan. She is currently pursuing LPC licensure. In her role as a college and career counselor, Greer will administer assessments to undecided majors, provide individual career counseling and advising, help students and alumni with resume and cover letter writing, help students and alumni with job and internship searches, develop and maintain relationships with employers and recruiters, and help put on Career Fair and Majors Fair. | Texas Wesleyan Receives TG Grant
Texas Wesleyan University is the recipient of an $82,550 "Pathways to Success" award from TG. The project aims to improve student retention rates by providing need-based aid for specific targeted student populations, Summer Bridge Programs in Math and Reading, and Student Success Stations, as well as pre-collegiate outreach services through support of our sponsored high school GO Center.

The most recent issue of the Fort Worth Weekly featured a profile of Jasna Reed, table tennis coach and player at Texas Wesleyan. Reed, who is currently pursuing her master's degree in education at Wesleyan, was the first player recruited when Wesleyan began its table tennis program in 2002 and has since won multiple collegiate titles. Retreat with Courage and Renewal North Texas
Courage and Renewal North Texas will host a retreat, Exploring Trust, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, August 7, in the Louella Baker Martin Pavilion. The day-long retreat provides attendees with a renewed understanding of the qualities of trustworthiness in yourself and others, and the importance of trust in relationships. This retreat will utilize the Circles of Trust model of personal and professional renewal developed by Parker J. Palmer.
