This is just a friendly reminder that ASIS North Texas Chapter scholarship application packets must be postmarked by October 20th to be eligible to compete in this year’s competition. Scholarship candidates must be majoring in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related academic discipline and have completed at least one year of study at an accredited North Texas college or university. A minimum grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) is required for consideration.  A sealed certified transcript must accompany the application.  A letter of recommendation from a faculty member of the college or university in which the candidate is presently enrolled must accompany the application. The candidate is also required to submit an original essay of 1,000 or more words on a security-related topic of their choice in their application packet.
