sophomore Eric Owens took home first place at the 2004
Texas Wesleyan Table Tennis Tournament hosted by the Texas
Wesleyan Table Tennis Team, April 24th. The
tournament featured 55 entries from the southwest region
divided into
five different divisions.

Owens, a
Houston, Texas native, defeated Yugoslavian native, Sasa
Drinic, 11-6, 11-4, 11-4, 8-11, 3-11, 11-7 in the championship
match of the "A" Division. |

Drinic owns a higher national
ranking than Owens, but Owens bested him in this one. In the
third place match of the "A" Division, Wesleyan team member,
Biljana Golic was defeated by San Antonio, Texas native, Clark
Yeh, 13-11, 9-11, 11-7, 11-6, 5-11, 11-5. Yeh also defeated
Wesleyan team member Courtney Roberts in group play. Below is

D-Division
1st Harry Mc Keever, Dallas, Texas
2nd Larry Sangren, Dallas, Texas
E-Division
1st Ken Sangren, Dallas, Texas
