Freshman Dinko Kranjac took home first-place honors in
the Men's Open Division earlier this month at the Texas
Wesleyan Fall Open.
The tournament featured 33 participants from around the
region, which included players from Arkansas, Oklahoma and
Texas.
Kranjac came into the tournament as the sixth seed and breezed
through the competition on his way to the Open title. Freshman
Abdul Rahman finished first in the Men's Draw, defeating
teammate Courtney Roberts in the final, 4-3. Roberts was up,
3-0, before falling in four straight games to Rahman.
Also competing for Texas Wesleyan were freshman Aldis Presley
and sophomore David Livings.
The Texas Wesleyan Table Tennis team will be back in action
this Friday when they host Baylor at 6 p.m., SMU at 7 p.m. and
UT-Tyler at 8 p.m. All matches will take place at the Sid
Richardson Gymnasium.
